Missouri River Rainbow

When guiding, folks trust me with their lives; I think you can trust me with your sale!”

Aix Outdoors–

is dedicated to the client centric philosophy. On river or off, I do my best to help you achieve your goals. Since I can’t be guiding every day, I split my time between real estate for Premier Group in Missoula/Lolo and guided fly fishing trips thru various outfitters. There are many real estate agents who like to fish, but very few fly fishing guides who like to sell homes. There are many parallels in real estate and guiding anglers, which was one of the many reasons I was drawn to real estate.

It doesn’t take a fundamental stretch of the imagination to gather the sphere of multiplicity a fly fishing guide must take on any given day.  Starting with greeting weary clients, quickly gaining trust and confidence, confronting unknown events, building anticipation and expectations, quelling fear, all while providing a quality experience and lasting memory.  Buying a home is so much the same experience. I follow the client centric philosophy by serving and accommodating client needs, listening, negotiations and navigating the buy/sell process.

My clients can count on me to focus on their needs, and provide quality service.

I have been interested in photography since I took my first black and white intro to photography class in community college.  Since then, I have fostered my appreciation for the art and technicality of the captured image, attaining a Bachelors in Fine Art. Over the years I have had my photos published in newsprint, magazines, and books, one being my own book, Debin Races His Bike, a children’s book available on Amazon. My personal work is focused on fine art landscape photography, however, I enjoy much more.

I’m often asked, Aix Outdoors… what’s that mean?

I came up with the name for Aix Outdoors by combining few different elements. In Yakima County, WA, there is a prominent peak call Mt. Aix (7770ft), no one really knows how it got it’s name or why. That being said, “Aix” is also a fairly rare word, having roots in latin, meaning “water(s)”, and a fitting name for a fly fishing guide/photographer. The last interesting use of Aix is in the binomial nomenclature of science, Aix sponsa being the scientific name for our beloved Wood Duck! All in all, this whole rarity thing, combined with a water name, a duck, and a 7000 foot peak just seemed right.
